Need a Political Party || राजनीतिक पार्टी की जरूरत

 Why Political Party?

If there was no political party, every candidate would be an independent candidate. At present there are total 543 members in Lok Sabha. Imagine the situation when any of the 543 members are unable to think in the same way on any one issue. This will create a strange situation. An independent candidate will always think of the interests of his constituency and ignore the interests of the entire nation. To bring different types of people on one platform; so that the bigger issues can be thought of; It becomes imperative that political parties continue to exist.

The form in which democracy has been adopted all over the world today is called a democracy based on representation. In this system the government is run by the representatives of the people because it is not possible for every citizen to contribute directly in running the government. Democracy based on representation has given birth to political parties.

यदि कोई राजनीतिक पार्टी नहीं होती तो हर उम्मीदवार एक स्वतंत्र उम्मीदवार होता। अभी लोक सभा में कुल 543 सदस्य हैं। उस स्थिति की कल्पना कीजिये जब 543 में से कोई भी सदस्य किसी एक मुद्दे पर एक ही तरह सोचने में असमर्थ हो। इससे तो अजीब सी स्थिति पैदा हो जायेगी। एक स्वतंत्र उम्मीदवार तो हमेशा अपने चुनावी क्षेत्र के हितों की बात सोचेगा और पूरे राष्ट्र के हितों की बात को दरकिनार कर देगा। विभिन्न प्रकार के लोगों को एक मंच पर लाने के लिये; ताकि बड़े मुद्दों के बारे में सोचा जा सके; यह जरूरी हो जाता है कि राजनीतिक पार्टियाँ अस्तित्व में रहें।

आज पूरी दुनिया में जिस रूप में लोकतंत्र को अपनाया गया है उसे प्रतिनिधित्व पर आधारित लोकतंत्र कहते हैं। इस सिस्टम में लोगों के प्रतिनिधियों द्वारा सरकार चलाई जाती है क्योंकि प्रत्येक नागरिक के लिये सरकार चलाने में प्रत्यक्ष रूप से योगदान देना संभव नहीं है। प्रतिनिधित्व पर आधारित लोकतंत्र ने ही राजनीतिक पार्टियों को जन्म दिया है।
